Last-Minute Weddings

A wedding venue that can say yes this month

Most wedding venues book twelve to eighteen months out, so a short-notice request is usually a polite no. Secluded Ridge is different. We're a small, private mountain venue near Morganton, North Carolina — intentionally intimate, with your own vendors — which means when a date is open, we can move fast. We've booked and hosted a full wedding on about a week's notice.

Why It Works

Small weddings are built for short timelines

Less to coordinate

With a guest count capped at 24, there's no crowd to manage — just the people who matter most. Fewer moving parts is exactly what a short timeline needs.

Your own vendors

We don't require a specific caterer, florist, or officiant, so you're never waiting on a venue's preferred-vendor calendar. Keep it simple with people you already know.

The view needs no styling

When the backdrop is a private Blue Ridge ridgeline, a ceremony feels complete without months of decor — which takes the pressure off a compressed timeline.

Real Wedding

One couple did it in a week

A couple toured the property one weekend and married on the ridge the next — 18 guests, one clear Sunday morning. The short timeline never got in the way of the day being everything it should be.

Short-Notice Questions

Quick answers

Can you really plan a wedding in a week?

Yes, when the date is open. Because we're capped at 24 people and you bring your own vendors, there's far less to coordinate than at a large wedding. We've booked and hosted a full wedding on about a week's notice.

How do I book a last-minute wedding?

Send us your date through the inquiry form. If it's available, you can tour, sign, and secure it in a single conversation. To hold a date we ask for a signed agreement and a 25% booking retainer.

Is a short-notice wedding cheaper or lower quality?

No. A short-notice date is the same published price as any other, and you get the same setting and the same care. You're paying for availability and simplicity, never a rushed or lesser day.

How many guests can we have?

Up to 22 guests plus the couple — 24 people total. The venue is intentionally intimate, which is part of what makes short-notice weddings possible.
